What gets better gas mileage?

I want to build a 350. I want to keep it fuel injected so Ill stick with TBI. I was wondering if I wanted to add a supercharger, what would be better, a roots or centrifugal? Ive heard that centrifugal gives better power, but which would be better for gas mileage?

Also do you have to set it up special like making a carb do a blow through operation or does it adjust for the extra air?
