Have 383c.i 450h.p N/ATPI, should I slap a D-1SC procharger?

Here's what I have now in my 383ci. 450h.p. N/A engine

I have an Isky roller cam specs are:
225/234 dur .505/.530" lift@.050 112LSA
9.75 Compression Ratio
AFR 195cc heads fully ported 2.05/1.6 valves
Miniram,58mmT-body,24lbSVO injectors
Accel DFI
All forged rotating assembly JEpistons,Oliver rods, 4340 Forged crank
Pro-Built 700 Tranny with 10"custom converter
9"Currie Ford rear with 3.50

I know I would need bigger injectors without a doubt and re-do the DFI tables but how much psi can I run safely on the street?

Should I even bother? Greater risks than gains? Car is a daily driver and reliability is an issue.

383tagta,

If you put the D1sc on, I would recommend and cam change to a blower grind cam to optimize performance, other than that, 12# of intercooled boost would rock!!!

I currently run 10#'s(intercooled)boost on a stock 350 with no problems

12psi on that compression and even with a 3 core intercooler would be too much with pump gas

i could *barely* run 12psi on 9.3:1 and your running 9.75:1....you'd have to retard some timing in the DFI maps and what is the point of that when you are using an intercooler?

I think your cam is ok, it would work a little better with a 113 or 114 lobe separation and a little more exhaust duration but the lift is fine

Blowers do require a LARGE fuel system to work correctly and factor in a *safe place*. you have DFI so you can play with the fuel and dont need a FMU

Also remember your in LOS ANGELAS......the worst place in the country to pass emissions.

i dont even know if a D-1SC is carb EO yet there.

Things to consider

CARB EO #'s are state issued. If it is CARB approved you can use it anywhere in cali
