Recipe's for low 12 second TPI motor?

What are some good engine combinations for a low 12 second TPI motor? I read in Super Chevy magazine that they built a 355 TPI motor with Corvette aluminum heads with 2.00 and 1.55 valves and ZZ-9 cam, with beefed up transmission and torque converter with 3.42 gears and some suspension upgrades the car ran a 12.36@ 108 mph. Do you feel this is an accurate time for this motor? I am looking to run low twelves on all motor and low elevens with nitrous. Which combinations of heads and cam work well together to produce a low 12 second car. I am looking at building either to 355 or 383 with AFR 190 heads, what is a good cam to use with these heads? please post your engine combinations that are in the low 12’s all motor!

Brian,

Might I suggest posting this on the TPI Board as this board is strictly for power adders.
