Procharger guys!! Can I really run that much boost with a D1sc and 9:1 comp ratio?
I phoned up ATI the other day and the guy I spoke to said "we could have you running 15, 16, 17 psi with a 9.1:compression ratio". Is that right, it seems a bit high and I don't recall seeing anyone here running that much with that ratio. But at the same time I see these supra guys running 25psi with an 8.5:1 on their 2JZ-GTE motors.
I have a 9.1:compression ratio am rebuilding and don't know if I should get dished pistons to drop it down to 8:1 or kep it with the 9.1:1. What do you guys think??? I also want to run it without the need for a water/alchohol injection as I need it for the street.
Thanks for the time
Rob

i was running 12psi on my STOCK COMPRESSION LONGBLOCK that had 9.3:1
maybe you could get about 15psi...but thats about it...anything more and you'd have to drop compression or retard timing, and why do that when your running an intercooler?
9:1 and 15psi would be on the edge most of the time....i know from experience
9:1 and 12psi would be fine ALL DAY LONG with pump gas and a 3 core intercooler and stock computer
