Anybody know Chris Weaver (1992 white Z28) runs low 9's?
He name is Chris Weaver he has a 1991 or 92 White Z28. He has a 406 with a D2 Procharger.
He runs low 9's in the 1/4.
Does anybody know how to get a hold of him...? Email address or phone #?

I would like to see his engine bay and get some specs (if he doesn't mine). I would like to know how much clearance their is between the bigger D2 and the strut tower. I am think about using a D3 and I am afraid I will have to notch the strut tower alot. I have seen D1's, but not anything larger on a 3rg Gen.
Thanks
Thanks

I was told everything is custom after the D1 head unit,no bigger will fit in that area, the D1 is about 1/2 to 3/4 away from the inner strut tower.Custom = big dollars.

I was going to try and run the ATI bracket for a SBC(CARB) and just notch the strut tower for clearance. Then after I notch it, then brace it with the roll cage struts. what do you think? I would love to see some pics of that D3 3rdGen or Chris Weavers D2.

Guido forgot to mention this car was on 10" tires

made 2 passes.....BOTH letting off
9.47 @ 114mph...yeah thats 114mph

other was 8.96 @ 140mph....wow letting off again
---He had a D3 series housing. The strut tower wasn't dented.....the very front of the wheelwell was and it wasn't all that much. So if this guy can do it with a full roll cage AND T-TOPS with a some notching in the wheelwell....you can live with it
and NO
i didn't get any pics sorry

Thanks alot for the info. That makes me feel alot better. I was afraid I would have to cut the strut tower(witch I didn't want to do). I can live with it being modified by a hammer. lol Do you know what kind of motor the D3 was on? Do you know any more about it.
Thanks guys
Thanks guys

it was on a small block chevy
i'm assuming it was combo job of ATI bracket and some custom bracing/bracketry by ASSC in lake bluff, IL since they built a lot of the car.
they do custom bracing/bracketry on ALL kits D-1 and above
here were some things it had that i noticed:
-huge freakn' water-to-air intercooler where the heater box used to be and came out right next to the distributor from inside the dash
-Accel pro ram intake
-90mm ford throttle body
-precision elbow
-hooker long tubes
-had a water box and fuel cell in the cargo hatch area
....so basically this car was BUILT
