Old Nos TPI plate, interference problems with thottle body.

I have the old style TPI plate with actual fogger nozzles. The problem in on the driver's side, the piece the throttle cable attatches to will physically hit the nozzle at about 3/4 throttle. I've already done some grinding/cutting, but it looks like I'm going to have to remove close to 1/2" from the back of curved throttle cable guide thingy. Did I do something wrong? or is this a common problem with the older style plate?

No, you are right.
I had to do the same thing on my 89. The old style plate was designed for earlier throttle bodies. I grinded a good bit off the curved part until I could open the throttle blades all the way without it touching the Nos tubes.

Yeah that's what I ended up doing. I tried a ~60hp shot 20 fuels and 28 N20s jets. I wasn't extremely impressed SOTP difference, but I G-teched a 5mph gain vs N/A g-tech time 99-100 mph(n/a) vs 104-106 mph w/NOS. Although my clutch started slipping in 2-3 shift, 3rd and 4th gear w/ the NOS.

This kit may be for sale if someone is interested. I'm thinking supercharger. It comes with everything needed(bolts/screws/etc.), (8) jets, fuel pressure guage mounted underhood,NOS pressure guage on bottle, micro switch, wiring to stock firebird foglight switch, and obviously solinoids, plate with foggers, and necessary braided hoses, bottle w/ brackets, stock Nos switches, blowdown tube(brand new not installed).
The plate has been opened up for 58mm throttle body and the person used a grinder(i.e. not perfect circles) and the blowdown tube needs another part to be installed (~$18-20), it's a different size emergency blow out seal to mate the AN fitting on the blowdown tube.

Explain yourself about Nitto and "crappy", They seem to provide a happy medium between tread life and traction for a daily driven car. I've heard generally 2-3 times the useable life than BFG drag radials, yet a little less grip and/or more heat needed. Most tires I have never last longer than 15,000 miles, hmmm. I've been debating over the drag radial thing for a while now. Goodyear GS-Cs are going on next($80 per tire/CarnDrvr deal). I'm just wondering since I already have a traction problem(maybe weak torque arm bushing/torque arm) since they are the only things stock still for my rear suspension. I don't understand how my car will light up the tires under acceleration in 1st with LCAs,LCA brakets, drag shocks. 3.42 gears.
