N.O.S. plate Question
N.O.S. plate Question
I have the NOS plate system, and was taking a look at the spray bars inside. I noticed that all the little spray holes in the lower bar (fuel, I think) were pointing way upwards at a ~75* angle. The holes in the top spray bar were pointing perfectly straight into the intake manifold. I thought both bars were supposed to be spraying straight. There is no way to adjust them. Why are the bars like this? Cause my nitrous isn’t hitting as hard as it should….it’s cutting out a bit. I ran 8.5 in the 1/8mi on motor, the nitrous only got me down to 8.2. Could this be the cause? Or is it just a shotty design? Btw I’m running 100hp.
Thanx
This is on my 97 TA, but it originally came off my 89 Iroc, which is sold now, but anyhow its the NOS 5151 kit.

sounds like it's upsidedown.. The NOS plate I have has the N20 coming out of the angled holes pointing down, the straight ones had fuel.

Nitrous plates have the nitrous jets over the fuel ones, so that the fuel is released into the nitrous stream to improve atomization.

All, I know is that on my 5151 kit the side with the jets is passenger. I really doubt it would matter, though. Your jetting is probably too rich like mine was.
