I used to have a twin plate setup running a 150 and a 70 shot, the 70 shot had a dedicated fuel cell I made out of the wiper fluid resevoir and it's own fuel pump. I didn't keep this on for long because the motor is a stock junkyard 87 TPI and I got paranoid that it was going to die a horrible death.

I’ve run 250hp pills in my NX setup but with a JNMM to bring it in gently and I don’t believe I ever had it set for a full hit. Most of my “big” shots I was probably getting between 175 and 225hp from it.

I'm trying to get a friend with a TBI Camaro to buy a nitrous kit, if it happens we'll see if he'll do the 200 shot. Personally I think you'de get pumping losses with the stock TBI heads and a shot over 150 but hey it'll be fun finding out.

Friend of mine ran stacked plates, 350 and 250 shots. Melted the motor down before he noticed it was just staying on the rev limiter at 8600 rpm. Had some cool black marks for a 1/4 mile though lol. He's building a procharged all aluminum big block now.

i'll be putting the 200 jets in soon. i think i should do a little tuning beforehand though. i'm sure if everything works out i'll get bored of that and be looking into a pro race fogger or something else asinine. How much can a weeny 350 like mine take before it stops going faster and/or blows up? I'll find out...

I had A NX Direct Port Fogger (Shark System) on my forged 383 W/ TPI. The unit was adjustable from 200 to 600 Hp. I ran the 200 Shot and then proceeded to crank the block in 4 places. After that I decided to build my current motor with a DART Little M.

Chevy High Performance did a test on this a few years back. They took a stock 350 out of a junkyard (i think it came out of a C-10 truck?) and proceeded to hit it with spray on the dyno until it blew. I think they got up to a 225 shot before one of the pistons melted. Keep in mind, bone stock factory motor, sitting in a yard for a few years, i dont even think they put synthetic oil in it.
Pretty impressive if you ask me....

They didn't rebuild the bottom end, only replaced the valvetrain parts and head gaskets, and it was being fed a 325 shot and gaining power on there NA pulls, the 425hp shot being purged into it to low is what blew it up. Here's the article
Extreme Squeeze
I've seen similar craziness be done around here, the most extreme example was a 96 LT1 spraying an NOS 78 jet dry through the MAF meter, the car took over 80 pounds of nitrous and is still running to this day, the entire time it had a bottom end knock from the bearings being worn, that's why the kid was trying to grenade it with the nitro.

No re ring but they do mention the motor is in good shape, it's also a 2 bolt main motor. There are literally 1000 variables as to if your motor can or can't take a said ammount of nitrous, in this extreme test they're only using the nitrous for VERY short bursts, if you were to try and hold a 325hp shot on a stock 350 with only 1 heat range colder plugs for a 10 second quarter mile burst you would almost assuredly destroy it by the end of the run. NOS says that a TPI 350 can safely be sprayed with a 70 jet, my nitrous calculator puts this at a 180whp shot (no accessory loss taken into account). I plan on reinstalling the other nitrous plate and running a pair of .058 jets by the end of next summer now that the trans is rebuit. This will put it up to around a 250whp shot, and honestly I don't see the motor living a real long time on this but hey what fun is being conservative all the time.

FWIW, typically stockish engines in this range are somewhat self limiting… somewhere in the low 300hp range they just can’t take in much more spray and you start seeing a big cloud over the carb and power numbers don’t go up as fast as expected past there.
