turbo gaskets

alright since my turbo is made for internal waste gate, and im using an external gate i made a custom flange, and made my own gaskets to block off the internal wg hole.well the gasket burnt out.it was some gasket material i had laying around the shop.we use it for collector gaskets and never had a problem with it.but it didnt stand upto the heat of the turbo.

u guys know of any brand of gasket material that would hold up to the heat that i could use to make new gaskets?

I don't use a gasket on the downpipe, but I was told copperseal would be ok. Or maybe cut something out of a really thin piece of aluminum
