Would I need to spool this thing under the hood of my Vert?

I traded a buddy of mine a HX40 for this thing.

Its off a train. Im coating the hot side and chrome plating the cold side. Then making a stand in my shop for it.

That’s a different diffuser design then what you normally see on lighter vehicles… I’d bet that turbo isn’t as large (airflow wise) as it looks, but more efficient. How big is the compressor inducer?

Either way I bet it would make a cool home built jet engine, and with the bolt together flanges would be pretty easy to build around…

Havent taken it apart yet to measue anything. I was thinking the same thing about the home built jet engine thing.

I was bored the other day when I pulled the motor out of my gsxr to put on a shifter kart and thought this would be a good Internt pic.
