Turbo a 2.8 has it been done
Ok the time has come
My trans am complete w/ engine tranny etc
My firebird is now my new project
I dont want to swap in a v8 b/c of the whole wiring harness. My goal is to rebuild my 2.8 and 700r4.
I wondered if anyone had ever made or has made a turbo set up for a 2.8
Is it possible, does anyone have any info on this.
Thanks
Kelham

No offense, but if you're afraid to swap an existing wiring harness, you don't even want to think about a turbo setup, heh.
As you can see it has been done, and more than a couple times. You will find more info by doing a search.

id say bore the engine then go with an intercooled turbo there plenty of room under the hood of the six to drop a big intercooler and run twin turbos easily. The biggest aspect if your afraid of a wiring harness is going to be the boost controller but just bring that part to any ***** shop and it'll be done quick.
good luck and tell me how it goes cuz i wanna do the same thing to my six
