water to air intercooler

I have been considering doing my own water to air intercooler and was wondering if anyone thought the factory a/c condensor would work as a heat exchanger for the water. Since it is a completely sealed unit and if I flushed it really good I dont see where it would be a problem. I have been thinkig of using the pump from a Lightning and a used vortech cooler. How does this sound. Since mine is a GTA and as tight as third gens are anyway I think this would be awesome for front end room.

I dont see why it wouldnt work. Besides the tube diameter might be a little small. but maybe not. Bye the size of it, i think it would transfer heat really good. Do you have an air-to-air right now? If so, why go to an air-to-water?
