cheap 305 tbi power adder
what are some cheap power adders that i can put on my 91 rs? i know high flow filter(k&n) and exhaust. I've heard about chips that increase power and torque and raise top speed and rev limiter any reliable companies(post links please) tell me more about them if you can. i've also heard theat 350 and 454tbi parts are good too whats the deal with these?, how do they work? and what do i need to do to make these work? imput greatly appreciated

The limiting factor on any engine is air flow. The chip control fuel and spark and can only make the most of the air avilable. That means feed the engine with the correct amount of fuel and the optimal spark timing. There is not much improvement to be made by replacing the stock chip on a stock engine and you don't need any 454 stuff.
With a new exhaust and free flowing filter you might see a 5% to 10% increase.
The only reson to change the stock chip on a stock engine is to modify the TCC lockup speeds or to remove the top speed limiter, if you have one.
On a Turbo car a chip can make a huge difference because boost and thereby also air-flow is controlled by the ECM. 50% more air and 50% more fuel will give you 50% more power.
That is not the case with a NA car.

Holley makes a bigger 670 throttle body that isnt too pricy. Those headers are real bad, and if you can do a cam install, pick up a stock used LT1 cam and through it in. Or if you dont feel like doing that work, use some 1.6 ratio rockers. Also a performer tbi intake manifold. Forget the chip.
