Anyone try these 'bonnets' for their blow through setup?

Was just cruising the web dreaming of a twin turbo setup for next summer and came across these little goodies

http://knfilters.com/Racing/plenum.htm

The Mini plenum would be kickazz if it will work. Its low enough it should barely squeeze under my hood (2.5" clearance needed between hood and carb flange) and dual 2.5" inlets. Its cast aluminum so it shouldnt blow apart too easy and its about half the price of the other bonnets i have seen!

One thing that may be a big issue is theirs probably nothing in there to keep the turbos from just blasting in a bunch of turbulent air mainly on the secondaries...

Or i could go the route with the aluminum pot cut down and a 4"-3" exhaust adapter welded to the side of it

They don't flow very good for forced induction.

Im just trying to find something that might fit under a stock hood!

I definately want a cowl hood but im screwed until i can take a drive down south (yellowknife is in the middle of butt-*** nowhere!) with the truck and can pick it up. I have seen other peoples attempts at getting hoods and panels shipped up here and lets just say it wasnt pretty! Our freight carriers tend to beat the ever living crap out of everything!!!

ProCharger makes a low profile carb hat that only stands 2" off the top of the carb.

Here's what your looking for...

If clearance becomes a problem, you could use a single plane/low rise manifold to correct it. From what I've heard turbos like short runners anyway.

^^^

Nice looking piece!

But it looks like its gotta be 1/2" thick and weigh as much as the whole engine

With my edelbrock EPS intake, 600cfm carb i had about 2 3/4" from the carb to the hood. the edelbrock chrome 14" air cleaner w/2" filter sits 2 5/8" from the carb and the wingnut cleared the hood by just a hair!

So for that bonnet to work i would need to select an intake and carb that could possibly drop me about an inch from where i was with the old setup. I also notice it doesnt seem to have any baffles or anything on that bonnet...?
