Nitrous on 305 qjet

I haven't found a lot of info on this subject. I have a mostly stock 84 z/28. I swapped the 700 for a t5 w/ mech. linkage. Any feedback on a small hp boost nos system. I still have stock exhaust manifolds. The header options are very confusing. I plan to go with hooker 2055's. Should I not bother with with the juice until I open up the exh. I'm in ca. Smog is an issue but I may have a way around that.

headers would be a good idea, but not 100% essential.
Spread bore kit that shoudl work with your application. Be warned that since it's got an industrial valve in it that does limit your jetting size if you decide to step up, however that'd be good for a first time kit.

Headers are a good idea as well as a free flowing exhaust when spraying for first time make sure there is no detionation and check your plugs to prevent lean out Good Luck.
