Re: procharger 12 rib?

(2) 6-rib belts will work fine as long as both belts are obviously the same length. What you have to watch out for is if the belts were made from different batches, they may not be EXACTLY the same length. If you take a 6-rib belt and figure out exactly what length you need, ProCharger will have no problem trading your 12 rib belt for the correct size.

Re: procharger 12 rib?

Dont use 2 belt,

They wont stretch the same way !!

Get your belt from procharger direct or a dealer, that's the only place i have been able to find the right belt !

66" belt is good to 4.5"+ pully.

For smaller pully you will need a shorter one, i have a 3.70 pulley for my F1 but not sure for the lengh it is, anyway procharger will give you the right one.

Re: procharger 12 rib?

yeah... i have a 66 inch 12 rib belt and with the 4.25 pulley its way to big ..so they sent me a 4.00" pulley and i picked up a 8 rib 65 inch for testing purpose and there is no way i can see me getting a 65"belt on the 4.00" pulley i tried i wonder if i try 65" 12 rib belt with the 3.70 pulley if that would work ... i was told that ATI carries 12 rib but they are like 66-65-64 but no half inches

Re: procharger 12 rib?

In order to get enough tension on the belt, I had to find the shortest belt I could possibly fit over the pulleys. If it was easy to get on, it's going to slip. I would take the blower pulley off of the blower, put the pulley inside the belt, then slide the pulley back onto the input shaft of the blower.

Re: procharger 12 rib?

The belt that came with my procharger was long as well. I unblolt the blower from the brace when removing and installing my belts.

Re: procharger 12 rib?

Another idea is to take your adjustment down to the lowest or loosest point. Run a string around your pulleys, make it tight then tie it. Measure it or take it to the nearest parts store and have them measure it. This should get you really close and you still have all of your adjustment room to make the belt tight. Make sense?

Re: procharger 12 rib?

i think i am going to try the string method ......cuz my 12 rib 66" i measured it 4 to 5 times and it comes out to like 66.4" and i bought a napa 65" 8 rib belt for testing purpose and it measured it and its 65" on the money ...i tried with the blower pulley off (4.00") put the belt on and tried slipping back on to the blower shaft and there is no way... im just hoping that if the ATI 12 rib 66" is bigger then the 65" might be a little bigger too
