Advantage of adding a seperate fuel cell for nitrous?
I just ordered a new "Wet" NOS kit for my Z28 (05151). He said that he would run a seperate fuel cell, maybe a 2 gallon cell and fuel pump, for just the fuel. So, I wouldn't have to tap into the factory fuel system. Would there be any advantages of doing this? I have been running a dry system for awhile, which I've had no problems with, just decided to try out the wet system. Any info or idea's is appreciated. thanks

For a big shot it allows you not to be octane bound by the fuel in the tank (you can run race gas in the cell) but other then that if your fuel system is adequate and you're not trying to get the cylinder pressures insanely higher it should be ok. If you're wanting to turn the wick up a lot, I'd probably do a fuel pump change at the least.

IMO, dedicated fuel systems are for bigger shots, or if you just want to run race fuel to it. If you're gonna stay at 150 and below, just upgrade to a 255lph or so pump in the tank, and you'll be fine, anything bigger (i dont think that kit will flow much more than that) and i would go to a dedicated. I run a 1 gallon fuel cell up front with a holley blue and AFPR, i also power 2 nitrous sytems (300 shot worth) and i run 110 octane in the cell. You should be good with just a pump upgrade. You can pull the fuel straight off the rail via the test port (-4 an) under the MAP sensor, and you'll be good, thats how i did mine on my stock motor...
