New Nitrous Best!!
Went to the track sat. june 16, with my 89 formula, full weight, 93octane w/ octane booster, 305TPI(internally UNTOUCHED w/ 116k miles), TH350, stock 9-bolt rear with 3.23's, shorty headers, no cats, hooker muffler
**NX universal wet kit, 150 shot,
ran 12.664@106mph,(8.0 1/8th) and a 1.799 60' time.
the outside air temp was 90-95* and i actually short shifted 1-2nd a little, about 4000rpm, last fall the car ran 108.07 through cast manifolds, and cats
this year i hotlapped the car 4 times in a row, and my coolant temp was between 190 and 200 every time, i think i am going to try and keep the pistons intact, add an MSD, go another step colder plugs, retard the timing a few degrees, possibly jet it for 175hp, and run it in cool air in the fall, and shoot for 12.40's

this is my car saturday..
please comment and share stock motor stories-this freak shouldnt be running after 30 pounds of nitrous...lol
----------
P.S. the car ran 14.5 @ 94.5mph w/ a 2.10 60' without nitrous, the same day

My 92 Formula with full bolt ons and full suspension 350 car runs 12.3 @109 on a 150 shot. Motor untouched internally at this point in time I've sprayed the car 60-70 times with zero degrees of timing pulled still at 6*. 84k miles on the clock.

you can do better with what you have, but i do like that you are conservative with you hopes, that is always a good way of looking at things. My best with DR was a 12.1
usually though with StreetTires 12.5-7 (stock engine, full exhaust)
sorry no new times with HSR, cc306, headwork, (need bigger injectors)

Re: New Nitrous Best!!
nice times, i wonder if those times are attainable on a 305? the one thing needed would probably be.. more nitrous, but i dont know if the stock cast pistons and rings would hold up to that.
guess theres only one way to find out, im getting both my bottles refilled tuesday, i'll have to call NitroDaves and order the jets for 175 and 200
an MSD and a couple gallons of 100 octane unleaded might help the situation.
i'lll post results in a week or two.

my carb'd 305 went 11.60s on a 150 shot, guess that tuned port is really holding you back a lot.
