I would love to have a 500hp stroked LS1 with a t-56 for a daily driver.
I'd like for you to take any single 5.7 liter carbed engine that came stock in a car, and do a cam swap to it and tell me that it can produce more power than and LS1. Hell, i'd even dare to say a heads/cam/intake carbed motor vs cam only ls1. There have been plenty of LS1's out there that make almost 350hp to the WHEELS with nothing more than exhaust and a tune. Also the stock computer can be enough to tune into the 4 digit horsepower range.

Ok, so you're not building a 305 on a $3000 budget??? Ok then, You're not trying to keep your car numbers matching??? I guess I give up. I do agree with junlcltr & I definitely agree with Batass on their last posts. This whole thing has gotten way out of bounds. Sorry for my part. BTW Batass, that's some funny schiznit!!!!!

Im not sure what the hell your talking about here, sound like some crazy wife. Do you realize what you are typing here? Im not one of those guys that say nothing can beat a v8, but I love v8s. Almost all of them. Any four cylinder is quicker with a turbo. Funny that a guy with a little car and 4 cyl would bring that up. Just like every other guy that owns a four cylinder that thinks his little engine is a miracle. Go talk that crap in the 16 year old rubberband slingshot forum. But lets think for a second here, what is the quickest 1/4 mile time in the world for an engine, isnt it a v8 top fuel hemi?
And by the way, I wont be replying to any more of your posts there roachomnijuice. Your not saying anything worthwhile here in this post.

Oh and another thing, that video sucks and the car's ugly. But in all fairness im sure its fun to drive, but id rather have a Talon. I think its funny that you list all that stuff in you sig. Think anyone gives a crap?
lol bring it.
quickest 1/4 mile time in the world for an engine, isnt it a v8 top fuel hemi lol duh. i don't think that my "little" 4 cylinder is a miracle. creates pretty good power stock. can do 12's with a few bolt ons and the stock turbo, head, long block, manifolds, and trans. it's called power to weight and i like the ratio the omni has. yea i know my car is ugly. that is the beauty of it. spank the **** out of someone who has spent plenty more on theirs. perfect sleeper. i use to have a third gen and loved it. spent plenty of money on that ****er and went nowhere. now i have a shitbox shelby omni . really don't understand why you are attacking me? i never said anything bad about any third gen or f body. and you have to say something about the video. hell i bet 90% of the cars in that vid would beat your cars *** . i don't like all 4 bangers. i absolutely hate honda's/rice burners. so if you wanna keep attacking me go ahead. i'm just saying get your **** straight before you post. ls1>sbc. you can get an ls1 engine and trans for about 2000 now. that is within the guys budget. get an ls1 swap. beat the stangs ***.

Is that the topic? I thought it was about power adders.

How come you didn't install an LS1 in the Omni if they are so great? Oh yeah, you already have a power adder.

Re: Mustang beater

That wasnt the topic, he wanted to keep his 305. But I dont know where your getting an LS1 and trans for 2k. He still couldnt do it for his budget.

2k for motor and trans + shipping?
500 to swap it in.
500 for a cam?
still only roughly 450 hp.
Pick up a used nos kit for 500?

Roach, did you get confused up there?

Re: Mustang beater

there is an ls1 and a t56 on ebay for exactly $2000 and has an hour remaining and i believe the computer and wiring harass is included

IMO matching numbers are stupid these cars are worth nothing anyhow.

an sl1 engine sometimes put out 400 hp at the crank from the factory

how much work can you do your self in the first place, can you built up your own short block? I'll try to be realistic and help you out but i need to know what kind of work you can do your self and that will not include a 305.
$3000 is tight but i would find a 350 or 383 that has become someones abandoned project for like $1200 and get a th350 and a 4thgen rear end and turbo it that will get you close and someone else already spent the money for you, capitalize!
