HELP: Vortech keeps throwing belt!

I recently had a vortech charger put on my car (along with the superram setup). now this is the 2nd time in a month, that when i get on the throttle, the supercharger belt has 'moved' off the pulley.it is a 6 rib pulley, and both times the belt has moved over to the 3rd or 4th rib on the pulley (so that alittle more than half the belt is still on the pulley. the other half is off). the first time this happened i didnt catch it in time..it moved over and chewed into my radiator hose, luckily i have the heavy duty hose with steel braid, and it didnt ruin it. i had the belt replaced--- now its happened again.

what can i do to stop this?? i have had it torqued down and tightened and now im afraid to enjoy hitting the throttle for fear of throwing the belt...

any tips?? i have thought about a 'deep groove' belt for the pulley..i thought that would be a solution, but i cant find one online or at any of the supercharger websites. the pulley it sits on doesnt have 'sidelines' that are a bit higher that the belt sits on-- it just sits all on the same even level..so it seems to move when i really get on it.

does anyone know where i can get a deep groove pulley or have any ideas?? this is getting reallllly annoying and is starting to worry me at this point.

thanks in advance.

Re: HELP: Vortech keeps throwing belt!

Looks like you have an alignment problem......The belt should not be comming off when you get on the throttle.....Check your spacers on the bracket, check the pulleys, looks like they are off..Hmmm thats strange my Paxton pulley has sidelines

Re: HELP: Vortech keeps throwing belt!

use a straight edge to check for pulley alignment, I'd assume it is off by that amount then.
