That's gonna be awesome! It should spool up pretty quickly with 2 relatively smaller turbos than 1 big one right? You lookin to run on pump gas?

Re: sneak peek.....
it should be more streetable than last years combo so that's what I was looking at. Spool time, I have no idea, but I'll just pick a converter accordingly so it won't be an issue.

Re: sneak peek.....
i will be swapping from 4.11 gears down to 3.50 gears in the 9" this season. Those are flipped over truck manifolds that I'll be using since the ebay headers came no where close to working for me.

Those are Stock GN turbos... Right
I mocked this exact setup on a sbc sitting on a engine stand several years ago... You'll have to let me know how it does! I never had anything to put the engine I mocked it up on. It'll work good depending on how you fuel it/tune it.
The hard parts will do their job. I'll bet with the right tune it'll be very easy 10sec capible with excellent street manors. Internal WG's keep the cost and simplicty. Your on the right track in my openion!
Just knowing your not going to have any manifolds leaking ever is a great thing

Re: sneak peek.....
If you low-mount your alternator you can bolt both turbos up to the manifolds (or a small rise if needed to get off the V-cover) and then point both inlet's towards each other. The exaust sides would be pointing out.
The downpips would go down beside each exhaust mnflds. Both (press.side) outlets would point down and out toward headlights.. to FMIC.
3:50gear is perfect.
Just a thought on the Turbos.. that's how I had them mocked up on mine. Less tubing and the turbos will bolt right on to the manifolds. You'd need to check hood clearance.

The bolt pattern on the manifolds and the turbos are different spacing, so that would not work. The alternator probably won't need to be lowmounted, but the radiator will need to be moved forward towards the nose of the car 2" or so, or I will buy a radiator that is not as wide and run that instead. Hood clearance also wouldn't work bolting them that far forward onto the manifolds, I think I got it in a good spot, should have the basic piping done next week and post up some more pics once it's completed.

Re: sneak peek.....
wrote out a really long status report then IE decided there was an "illegal operation" bs crap and I lost it all
so for the pic collectors at least:

Also got my new converter installed and SFI flexplate along with both turbos mounted and the downpipes ran to the end of the engine block for now. Also have the tank pulled and a -10 feed line added to the sump and I welded the -10 return to it while also welding shut all the factory lines on the pickup and return only leaving the float and vent line in place. Coming along nicely now, won't be long.

Re: sneak peek.....
What induction setup will this new powerplant use? Blowthrough carb?
You coughing up camshaft specs this time, or is it voodoo black magic stuff again where us sweat hogs here wouldn't understand it ?

Re: sneak peek.....
nope voodoo magic, custom ground cam, call up a shop and blow $400 and you can have one too.
no specs are given out, this is how the fast guys go faster. It is already stated that it is blow-thru carb. Should be fun to tune.

Re: sneak peek.....
So even you don't know the specs? Huh. I figured it'd be weird, ie zero -> negative overlap for the turbo setup, but only Bullet or whoever you're using knows eh?
Sorry, looked up there and didn't see you mention the carb specifically. I figured so, but I had to ask. Customized by yourself or shop built for blowthrough? Tuning via wideband shouldn't be too bad, sneak up on the boost slowly eh? Wastegate springs, or a dial-a-boost type of thing?
