Just bought a supercharger for my 1989 tpi305

Is this an ok deal for a supercharger?

I figured $750 for it was decent. It seems to be the easiest "bolt on" supercharger I could find cheaply. I am going to buy a refresh kit for it.
I know that the sn89 model only puts out 5-7 lbs of boost, which is fine with me.
How hard would it be to mount up a different supercharger to the existing paxton mounting bracket?
Are any of you running a paxton sn series currently. I've heard a lot of bad things about them, but I plan of not abusing it after installing it.

Yea, Id say thats a good deal. For the power it'll give you, its a good hp per dollar.

Thanks for mentioning that. I've heard so many people blowing their paxton supercharger. I figure it is because they like to drag race all the time. If it is maintained correctly and not modified, it should last. I just need some extra passing power when I am around these slow pokes on the roads where I live. They like to drive 35 in a 55 speed zone. Many more people nowadays drive 10-25 mph below the speed limits around here. My 305 seems sluggish when passing on a 1 lane road, so an extra 40-80 hp should help.

It's a shame they don't make those kits anymore according to their web site.

Just got it today, no instructions. The alternator seems to be in the way. what do I do with the alternator. Where do I relocate or how do I adjust?
