Which Supercharger should I use?

I have a 91 Z28 305 V8 with Edlebrock performer heads, and I am trying to figure out what type of charger to get! I am really unsure as to what I want!
I was really interested in the Procharger TPI P-1SC...but i dont know. If anyone around here has the same care or engine, and has any advice, it would be appreciated.

91 Red, everyone I know (including myself) went Procharger. We all have P1SC's and D1SC's. I would seriously consider Procharger because of the intercooler being available as standard. Other than that I'd spring for the extra 400 bux or whatever it is to go D1SC over P1SC. Theres a guy in our club with a 305, world products heads, cam and a few other small goodies and he's putting down almost 380 RWHP with his D1SC.

91_RED, you should be fine, really. YES, there are things you could do to maximize potential like a set of headers or better cam. BUT, bang for the buck a procharger kit is a sweet way to go.

AC, thanks, I do appreciate the advice/help! I will probably go with the D-1SC and drop in an Edlebrock cam and rockers...

Re: Which Supercharger should I use?

If going the ProCharger route, get a blower specific cam...

Also checkout http://code59.org/

You have a 91, like me, this "code" with a few upgrades to your computer, (MAP Sensor, Wideband 02 Sensor, bigger fuel injectors) lets your stock computer monitor and manage boost and fuel delivery... No FMU....

The computers in our cars are too old to just "plug in and reprogram"... You must remove the stock chip and either put a new chip in, or hardware that can emulate the chip, so on the fly tuning can happen...

Check out the Ostrich Emulator and Auto Prom...

Re: Which Supercharger should I use?

It was my understanding the D-1SC was not legal in CA. Has procharger finally certified this model?

As far as I know, they are legal in Cali...Either that or 3 of my good friends are taking a very big risk! But all of there cars all pass smog, and as far as I know they are get there smog tests done legitimately. So i hope that answers your questions.
