bang for buck... SCing a 305

Is it worth it to supercharge the 305 4bbl with some mild bolt ons(cam/headers/ignition) or just drop that cash into a totally new platform? these cars have so many options and the more I research the more I find lol. I'm not use to this, most of the cars I've had in the past you had to custom make your own stuff.

The reason i ask this is because I cant seem to find a supercharger for a 305, just turbo kits.

If you can find a used supercharger, maybe. But you could build a fairly new 400hp 350 for 2500 bucks. Your 305 with a blower will probably only make 3-350.

Id get a new motor.

Here, enjoy the article, I posted this five years ago by Car Craft, Click Here. Then, enjoy this article by Super Chevy, Click Here. Finally, enjoy this article by Hot Rod, Click Here. Just a little fabrication on your part, but you can definitely get it to work for your 305 application, with excellent results....

... oh, and, your welcome in advance lol!
