Re: 92 v6 firebird

I've been on these boards for a long time. So I know exactly what people will tell you. First do a full tune-up to make sure you at least have your stock 140HP. Then get rid of the stock exhaust manifolds and replace them with the headers for the 2.8. They should bolt right up to the 3.1. I haven't done this yet because I just don't feel like pulling those manifolds off. The task seems daunting. My next step is to put a jet chips computer chip in or maybe a hypertech.

Re: 92 v6 firebird

you don't have to take off the manifolds to put a turbo on it. You can also do some or a lot of tuning with your computer for less than the price of a chip(which does next to nothing).
