Motor for the Weiand 142
I found out that my current engine is shot so Im going to throw in a spare one that I have. But before I throw it in I wanted to build it up for when I put a Weiand 142 on top of it in the near future. The engine is a 350 non roller with the stock bore. The cylinder walls are in great shape but the engine needs a full rebuild so I was looking at this kit, http://store.summitracing.com/partde...0&autoview=sku . comes with the forged aluminum pistons so it should be good to run boost, correct? They say that Approximate compression ratio 9.72:1 with a 64cc head. What size heads should I run with this bottom end setup to lower that a little bit? Also am confused on what cam to run. Did some research and found that I need one with no overlap but thats about it. Any help or references to a good site where I can learn more about other guys running the 142 would be helpful.
Thanks
Thanks
