i need a timing retard

i need something that will kick in and retard timing for when i hit the nitrous.
i mostly run my car on motor so having this thing retarded in timing sucks.

I know the digital 6 ignition box has a one step timing retard but i dont need a whole ignition box

Re: i need a timing retard

Well you have two options. Digital six or a flip chip. I have the digital six and it works flawlessly. I have it wired into my arming switch. As soo as the switch is on I pull three degrees of timing. Craig Moates has a chip with a switch that can change tunes. So you could have a nitrous tune with less timing. But the Digital six is the mose cost effective. Do you have an MSD box? You can buy just a retard box to work with a 6AL. I was going to do that but instead sold it and got the digital six. Hope that helps.

Dude check out the Mallory 685 its got a window switch and high speed retard. Easy to set with the simple digital interface. I'm using it for the boost retard and rev limiter, but its for any and all power adders.

Re: i need a timing retard

i run the msd 3 step tard box with msd 6a. the retard pills are activated from being removed from ground, so wire it to the positive side of your n20 solinoids. it will be grounded until power is supplied.
