?s about S/C my 6
Alright so i found a good deal on an eaton m90, and i really want to put it on my 3.4 (was 2.8). Im gonna remote mount it where my A/C is but when it come to s/c knowledge im lacking. What else is needed to make the car run with the supercharger? Can i use a v8 MAF to help compensate for the boost? I know it will never run perfect until it gets a proper tune, but can it run without a tune? Alcy injection? FMU? adjustible FPR? Will i need a diff fuel pump? Sorry for all the questions i just want to see what exactly im getting myself into. I tried searching but i cant really find anything? Thanks in advance!!!

Is it out of a thunderbird? I have one out of a thunderbird and I ported it out and put a smaller pulley on it for some high boost numbers. The stock ECM will have some trouble but it will run at under 9psi but depending on your drive ratio a M90 will hit 14psi in pretty stock trim and can make 22psi tops. Pretty much you should look at how the turbo guys do it (and we have some of the best imho)because your gonna need BoV and FMI to use the M90 to its fullest.
I have mine laying around for something that I dunno yet, maybe a 4.3 or a V8 I just dunno yet. I though about putting on my 3.4 bird but decided against it because of the damage it would cause to the rest of the old drivetrain. Maybe an old MG or triumph with a supercharged 4.3 would be fun on the 1/4.

Yeah its out of a thunderbird, I would go turbo but i cant weld therefor it would cost a lot for me to put together a turbo setup. Not to mention ive got $2500 into my trans, it should be able to handle whatever i throw at it
I figured i could to a BOV, but im just not sure what else i would need to keep the motor from detonating (Without using tuning equipment. This is my DD and i do not have a lot of money so i gotta take it one step at a time lol) Any ideas???

Ok ive done a lot of reading, and this is what i have gathered about the fuel/air stuff. If i use the eaton m90 supercharger on my 3.4 (2.8 top end), all i need is an FMU (8:1, 10:1, 12:1???) and afpr to keep the engine from detonating? Is this correct? What about my 2.8 MAF will it confuse the computer? Also should i consider a larger fuel pump?

the stock 2.8 maf setup should be good for around 9 psi.
well it is with a t4 turbo,so u could slowly increase the pully size till u run out of fueling, and then u can add in an fmu

Ok so another question, if the throttle body mounts to the back of the s/c how in the world would i get the tb cable to work? Or can i just plumb the tubing straight to the stock tb position like you would a turbo?
