Blower pulley modification
Found this on eBay.
Drill holes in pulley and slot the belt surface. Good? Bad? No difference?

Re: Blower pulley modification
Reichard Racing does something very similar to the pullies. Their theory is that drilling the holes creates a vacuum effect on the belt.

Re: Blower pulley modification
Most people I see with super charger get the slots cut. The only problem is if the belt slips it really chews up the belt.

Re: Blower pulley modification
Do you think modifying the stock pulley in that manner is safe? I don't want the pulley to come apart or something along those lines.

Re: Blower pulley modification
Pretty cool, I wonder if it actually works, or is as good as the Reichard Pulleys.
I was just about to buy one at the cost of $160ish.

The ad is what gets me though. Usually when someone offers a service on ebay, it's usually a buy it now, not an auction.

Let us know how the machine work is if you end up doing it. The Reichard pullies are done on a CNC machine....hopefully the ebay service is as well.

Re: Blower pulley modification
I am looking for another pulley for a cheap first. I don't want to get the one I have on my blower done in case I am not satisfied with it.

Re: Blower pulley modification
I have a 4" pulley I will be running on my D1. I have no idea if the novi and procharger hubs have the same shaft diameter. I would guess they probably do not.

Re: Blower pulley modification
I'm in the same boat as 3rd gen Will, not wanting to mutilate my only pulley in case it's not great.
I have a 3.7" Procharger pulley, looking to stay the same, if not slightly smaller.

Re: Blower pulley modification
I just emailed a buddy of mine who has a machine shop that could do this. I might send him my extra pulley just to see how it works out.
