Re: What turbos???
Not really a kit available, for twins that is, but some single turbo manifolds available.
Turbos really dependant on what build specs of the motor are and is that 700whp or crank?
For a good street strip setup 60mm turbos like I have on my car will do 700whp easy.

Re: What turbos???
yes. There are one or two brave people on here that have bought the ebay kits and tried to install and make work. But I have yet to see one of those kits installed and fully functioning. I have also seen (on different sites) those same turbos litereally broken in half. Same with the headers, flanges just break off from the tubes. I think someone bought those headers and tried to make it work but the tubes would hit the other accessories (specially the steering column-linkage) and possible brake lines by the booster... A good reliable turbo will probably cost you as much as that whole kit...
Here is a few pics of the SSAutochrome/ebay stuff

Well I'm a firm believer in doing things right the first time. So I want to get a good solid turbo or set of turbos that will last.

Re: What turbos???
I am building a 383 single turbo setup with a Precision 88mm turbo. I found a guy named Jon at LT1Boost. I can't remember if its .com or .org. He has a web site and build me a sweet set of manifolds/headers for my second gen. It mounted the turbo up font towards the pass side and fit great. Built thrm from tons of pics and measurements. Not cheap but cheaper thsn having a trace shop build them and he used quality tubing, flanges, collectors, and v band clamp for the cross over tube. Its worth contacting him for whatever you choose, single or dual turbos. Good Luck!

Take a look at the page with the discounted kit. The last picture has a close up of the welds.
All of the kits have an under-sized DP for the HP rating of the kit. Can you keep the inner fender well with the 88mm kit? The good thing about the 2nd gen. is that a 4" DP fits. Which is the minimum you need with that 88mm.
Re: What turbos???
Never buy anything off ssautochrome you see way in the pictures.I bought a manifold for a rb25det off them years ago it wouldn't even fit and once i made it fit it leaked like hell.Gale banks did make a twin turbo kit no clue on price of if it would fit in a 3rd gen.
