I recently purchased a semi complete thirdgen pro charger kit it's the d1sc with intercooler. The main problem is it was modified for an ls motor so I have to reassemble the small block standard bracket setup and tensioner. I have most of the stuff except for some of the piping. It's a carbed 383 roller block 1 piece rear main seal. I have afr heads no power steering or ac anymore. The alternator and water pump are run off a v belt and I was planning in just adding the serpentine belt for the pro charger. Can I mount the crank serp pulley overtopping of my v belt crank pulley and keep the rest as it is?? I didn't get any instructions which would be a big help with the install if someone has this it would be a major help and or a step by step install with pics. I have a boost ref fuel regulator and an A1000 fuel pump, csu 750 blowthrough carb, extreme velocities carb hat. Just seeing what I should be ordering to help me out and anyone with tips who has done this already would be greatly appreciated.

 

You're best bet would be to use ProCharger's "Carb Chevy" bracket and crank pulley. Otherwise, you'll have to install the '88-'92 serp brackets and accessories to make your bracket work. If this is clear as mud, give ProCharger a call.

 

hmm so this bracket I have wont work is what your saying?? has anyone else tried doing this with the kit??? noone has a link for proper install instructions??

 

Give ProCharger a call. They can fax or email you a few pages from the manual. It'll be a lot easier to understand why it won't work then.

 

I have the Carb bracket with my D1-SC in my 92 and running a 12 rib blower belt with a V-Belt style crank pulley. This seems to be the way to go, this way I'll have room to grow if I want to go to a larger unit like say a F1 series. I have a few pics of the motor on my car domain page in my signature.
