SBC and LT1 exhaust patterns are the same, the only thing to worry about is the end bolt, some have one close in, some have one spaced out and some have both.
Re: AP1AP2 Turbo Kits
I wouldn't trust his kit on my car the turbos don't list a brand so they probably are cheap china made glued together type.Pretty much everything to it don't give a brand and those manifolds look kinda thin to me.I would have a race shop locally build me a good turbo set up and not worry about it blowing apart.Would you trust a turbo from a guy who mostly sells ***** parts?

Re: AP1AP2 Turbo Kits
I thought I tried a set of SBC on an LT1 in the garage and the ports didn't line up quite right. From memory the LT1 ports were higher but the bolts lined up. Are you saying besides the bolt difference on the rear of the passenger side that the ports line up correctly?

The flange is 1/2" mild steel. The tubes are 18-16ga stainless.

Re: AP1AP2 Turbo Kits
1) a glue compressor housing take of one turbo repeatedly posted at different forums. The pic is of the same turbo.
2) a few saying that the bearings and/or seals failed quickly
3) lots of V8 engines going 12 sec ET or faster, some in the 13 sec range. Even found one twin setup in the 8 second range. Many of the setups have been running for 2 or more years.
Overall, it seems the quality has gotten better as expected for most manufacturing facilities. Heck, I even have access to an import GT45 turbo and the can state for a fact there is no glue on it. There could be something wrong internally, but I know externally it is fine.
Re: AP1AP2 Turbo Kits
I have ran a few turbos besides blowing a seal or two i never had a housing fail on me or anything bad enough to hurt the engine. But i never ran a cheap ebay turbo i don't trust a off brand.Even cheap junkyard turbos are ok if you have it rebuilt by someone good.

Re: AP1AP2 Turbo Kits
You can't "blow a seal" in a turbocharger. It is a piston ring. You mean you "had a leaking seal"? JY turbos are usually good deals and rival the price of a new ebay turbo. It is usually difficult to find one that matches perfectly to the application when installing on a V8 gas engine. Luckily the wasted gated turbos of today match better than older designs when installing on an average V8.
