I will post more pics in here as I can. Tried to get the car done for the LSX Shootout and didn't make it. Here is a pic of the car as it sits today.

Re: 83 LS1/S475 Build

It is a 2001 Corvette LS1 with 241 heads. The compression should be 10.2:1. I'm going to run E85 so the compression isn't a problem. It will help the small motor spool a large turbo. I have the ZR1 cam, GM MLS gaskets and head studs. Other than the cam and studs this will be a completely stock long block.
The transmissiom is a TH400 with a Neal Chance converter. The rear end was originally a Moser bolt in housing. I have changed most everything on it now. It has coil over shocks and a short LCA/Ladder bar with no torque arm. The front end is an AJE tubular setup with coil overs.
I tried to get as much weight out of the car as possible. I put a fiberglass dash in it that looks almost stock. Replaced the front seats with Kirkeys. Removed the center console. All of the gauges were replaced by a Racepac dash. The front and rear bumper supports are gone. The door bars are gone. I'm hoping to have the race weight at 2800 lbs.
Here are some of the pics I have so far:

good luck with that short ladder bar deal, not many guys have luck with that when you start making good power.

Re: 83 LS1/S475 Build

I had a work injury to my left thumb and have not been able to work on the car for three weeks. I should be back on it this week. Before the injury I was working on mounting the radiator. It had to be moved as far forward as possible and down to clear the hood. Also working on sealing the front of the car off right under the radiator. I think it looks better and should help with aerodynamics.
