Re: nx plate question
They should not hit IMO. You can put a carb/manifold gasket and a 1/2 inch spacer on top and it would be fine. But you should not have to. I have a NX gemini twin stage 6 plate system Im trying to setup and am having bigger issues with it. So far I am very disapointed with the NX plate system fitting properly.

Re: nx plate question
The plate is a tapered open plate (Halo/perimeter Zex type) the hole is way small and it obstructs the flow of A/F from the carb. I still have not figured out how they want this plate set on the manifold . Seems like the design was for a 1" thick plate but was machined from 3/4" thick material. If it was 1" thick, the tapered bore would be the proper size and it would be fine. If i put 1/2-1" spacer on top of it , the bores of the two spacers will not line up. The nitrous plate being to small would obstruct the flow from the carb. I will contact NX this week about it.
