twin charge
i have a rebuilt chevy 350, board 60 over forged pistion, b & m 144 supercharger 7 psi, rollerrockers in stock heads, b & m supercharger cam, stock crank light waight and ballance job done and stock rods, rebuilt 5 speed tranny, 500 miles on stage 2 clutch, 2 new front seats, holly double pumper 4150 just rebuilt, hooker headers,
future plans are>>>>>>>>>>>>
*puting rear mount hollset lm25s turbo "twin charge" "big boost dreams"
* some kind of head upgrade ?????????????"any help thank you"
*4340 forged crank i have but will install when i get a nice set of rods
*MSD boost timing master need to order
*MSD 6AL need to order
*Eagle Rods need to order
*drag dot in very near future 3 days
* i have a ford 9" rear and 4 link set up but will not install in rust buckett waiting tell i do the swap
*and yes i know most of yall are gunna hate me but swap motor and tranny in some kind of 350z, 300z, 3rd gen Rx7 with alil internet looking you can pick one up for under $5 grand. my car is a complete RUST bucket i wish i could afford a 67 68 69 camero but funds arnt like they used to be with a 15 month old son who fav. toy is a rench lol
please keep smart a** comments to yourself about swap you will not like what you hear in return!!!!!!!! im looking for some help so to thoes who do THANK YOU
rust is covered the floor bords and trunk are barley there the roof flexes so much in a lanch it looks like a 15inch sub working hard!!!!! middle of roof is only part not rusted i love the iroc her heart beats strong but her body is hurt dont take swap personal
when i say twin charge im not talking about the mad max style clutch supercharger with a silinoid to switch from supercharger to turbo boost, but setting the supercharger pully to to 7 lbs and the turbo waistgate to 7 lbs and allowing them both share the work at the same time. the turbo will be located in the rear feeding an water to air intercooler with water-methanol injection pushing in a blow through carb. and then the B & M supercharger........... ...yes i know why not twin turbo and what im trying to do will cost to much.
* i have most parts in boxes waiting, begging to be used
* to many twin turbo cars twin charging stands out
my questions are, what carb will be best for what im trying to do?
and what heads with out droping $3grand will work?
* has anyone tryed this yet do you think the intercooler set up i have will work to help from det. and yes run on PUMP GAS
Thank You

Re: twin charge
SBCs fit well in RX7s. I would look into a water to air aftercooler and a front mount air to air intercooler because the SC will heat the air too.

Is the IROC really that bad? I couldn't care less what you swap everything into since I'm not a one brand fanboy (check sig) by any means, but you should try to save the IROC if you can. I don't like seeing them being junked. Sounds like some new sheet metal, subframe connectors, and a cage would have you structurally sound.
Anyhow, I'll try the best I can to point you in the right direction, as far as parts.
CSU makes pretty much the best blow through carbs around. One of their models made 2,000+ HP.

Heads, when dealing with boost, it's not like dealing with a picky naturally aspirated setup. You don't have to stress as much over picking a small runner to retain some low RPM intake velocity to make sure you have good driveability, then miss out on top end power. Or, pick something with huge 200+ CC intake runners, and pretty much give up on low RPM driveability for the most part.
For a cheaper head that'll make very good power, check out Edelbrock Performer RPM heads. They're aluminum, and will save you roughly 50 pounds I believe over the stock iron slugs on most SBC's.

If you want a top notch head that offers the ability for some major porting afterwards, look into a pair of Brodix heads.

Rods and pistons, I don't know. I don't know your power and boost goals, so it's hard to say. So I won't say anything.

Re: twin charge
Oops, I accidentally skipped over the part about your desired boost levels, of a combined 14 PSI. That's not much at all.
Check out Eagle Rods. They sell rotating assemblies and stroker kits for almost anything, or you can buy just rods. Well, not JUST rods, some very good rods. 4340 H beams, yeah buddy.

Re: twin charge
thank you very much i dont know much about heads and thats a big help. no 14lbs isnt that much but i was going for a pritty decent street machine with alil bit of sho. the holset turbo is an up grade "stage 2" for cumming diesel motor the truck it came of of smoked the mudd tires tell 3rd gear. they max out psi at about 60psi so i think 7psi should be a walk in the park for the turbo. i got the nitto drag dot's in and i love them.

Re: twin charge
i put the pictures of the turbo above I recently obtained what I believe to be an Holset HX40 Pro, except from all my reading I have not seen a combination like this one before.
Here is what i know, unfortunately the tag on the compressor housing is missing:
6 blade compressor wheel, 60mm inducer minor
12 blade turbine wheel
T3 tangential exhaust housing, and it says "14" in the casting, so I'm assuming a 14cm^2 housing.
Internally Gated
3.225" ID V-band outlet
Casting on turbine housing:
3533221
14 164 06

Re: twin charge
i dont think tranny is stock it has a gold/ bronz color on the housing thats meets the motor i did the heads because i blew head gaskets at 167mph on hand held g.p.s. the radiator split into two different pieces so i also ordered a aluminum 2 row core CHAMPION radiator for $129 shipped great deal
Re: twin charge
I put car back togher with upgraded heads. She runs great, but still not enough POWER....LoL..... Ive done a ton of research and the B&M 144 supercharger will NOT push any more air through than equivalent to 550 hoursepower. There for blowing my twin charge build out the window...Sh*t... I am going to go with a single rear turbo/ intercooled "the hollset talked about in pictures above". just need eagle rods and good blow through carb, and intake mainfold...shooting for 20psi
*******What is the best intake mainfold for a turbo carbirated chevy 350ci????
