D-1 Prochargered minram 383 questions

Very soon i'll be picking up a d-1 procharger and had a couple questions regarding my setup. here is what i have:

Early 80's 350 block bored and stroked to a 383 all brand new.
Gm 400 crank
forged eagle rods
kb pistons
comp computer controlled cam(.464 .464 lift duration 222 226 lobe 114)
Chevy bowtie phase 6 aluminum heads 55cc combustion chambers
TPIS miniram 24lbs inj.
Compression ratio 10.2:1
stock 87 350 tpi wiring & computer

I know i will probablly need a msd btm but what problems am I going to have with tuning and should I change the cam? Also with my compression ratio is so high, whats the most boost i can run with still using pump gas?
Also is there anything else i should expect? Is the d-1 procharger my best option for the street? And lastly what kinda numbers can i excpect, i'm thinking 550hp? I know its alot of questions but any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

What are you planning for engine management. You could go to a megasquirt and get the 86-89 TPI adapter board from DIY autotune for not much more than a new 6BTM box costs. Of course you'd still need a 6 box or similar just to get the spark hot enough to support much over 5 psi (on a 10.2:1 engine). I can run 7 max with the MSD disconnected on my 9.3:1 engine.

On my turbo setup, which is on a stock tpi 5.7 engine, I routinely run 13 psi intercooled. I have been to 16 but timing is pretty low there. At 12 psi, from 3000 to 5500 rpm, my timing goes from about 13 to 20 degrees.

Just roughly calculating the static compression of my 9.3:1 engine with 12 psi shows a cylinder pressure of about 245 psi. To get 245 psi static on your 10.2:1 engine, you would be at a boost pressure of 9.3 psi. Or course there are many variables that come in to play here, but as a rough guesstimate you wouldn't have much of a problem making 9 psi work.

Your cam looks decent to me.. worth trying and seeing how it does. Injectors are too small though to support that kind of power level. Even with an FMU you'd be at or over 100% duty cycle to get 550 hp on 24's.

Keep us posted on your progress!
