turbo 1970 350???

Engine: LS1 5.7L

turbo 1970 350???

i hAve a 89 firbird and a 1970 350 motor i am gonna swap into it i plan on turbocharging it and suggestions on what route i should take first time dealing with turbo setups on a none turbo car. i would like to get the car running very low 12's to high 11's any suggestions will be greatly used...PS Orr89rocz any help from you would be great i am gonna start this project within the next week and half. i want to stregthin the motor first almost for daily use..

Not a bad engine to start with, I'd probably go with some forged pistons and some H-beams with ARP bolts even though it's likely you could get away with the stock short block for a very decent period of time. Besides that I'd cam the engine up some and do some basic head porting/a good valve job. Pair this with something like a T76 you should get good performance and some room to grow as well.

ED:The other option is to toss a turbo on it and just leave the short block be. If you are on a budget there is nothing at all wrong with doing it this way either. That's what my current plan is.
