wheres the down piping going to go?? Hugging the firewall, seems like it would be tight for you. Im about to add a different turbo and am looking at ideas as my prior downpipe was much different then I plan this time.

Damn Dave, you better have some mucho roll video's when she is finished, cuz that thing is going to pull so damn hard I want to see it suck some GT-R's and Lambo's right into that freaking turbo and spit them out. Just goes to show, you want something done right, invest in the right parts, and take your time with it. Looks incredible...

Re: Post pics of your turbo set up
I did but then starting looking at what all would be needed to keep it. Test fitting this down pipe was a no go with ac box. I noticed this box was cracked so said F-it. It need replaced I'll deal w/o for now. After all it is a convertable and only comes out on nice days anyways.
Im doing a complete 4thGen day swap also. So if anything I'll toss a vintake air setup under there. TONS of room with no 4thGen airbag, etc. under there.

Re: Post pics of your turbo set up
Mine is still in progress, and I haven't even started a thread on here yet (SORRY!) But here are a few pics of how it is turning out so far. Goal is to keep A/C along with all other amenities. I'm pretty happy with how things have come out so far. Hope to have it running within the next few weeks!

Turbo is mounted to the chassis with a mount I built and has a thick rubber cushion between it and the car, and I have also installed flex sections in the hotside (yes they are the specific ones designed for pre turbo piping...I installed the wrong ones first LOL) to allow for some give/flex between the turbo and the engine. All of the hotside piping is now wrapped with Lava wrap and I will also be covering various hoses and wiring with heat reflective tape and/or firesleeves to help with heat control. The part of the hotside that runs from the collector over to the driver's side header is removable with two v-band clamps which allows easy access to the front of the engine for servicing the belt and/or water pump. I'm also running dual electric fans off an LT-1 4th gen car.

-10 line through the frame rail to a bung welded in the pan. Not a huge drop but all downhill with no dips so we'll see how it works! :-)

Re: Post pics of your turbo set up
Here its finally done, minus the RLF BOV, the water lines for the turbo, and alky injection. I just got it together enough to try out the new engine.
Went from this to running in a few hrs thanks to my g.f. She actually likes cars..lol thats rare.

Re: Post pics of your turbo set up
Update to my setup: It's together, running now, and I got to spend some time on the dyno with it!

At 15 PSI it put down just over 400 HP and about 470 TQ at the tires, but my 255 LPH Walbro was running out of steam and fuel pressure fell on its face once full boost hit. There's lots more potential there once I get my new 400 LPH pump in the tank this spring

Stinger/bigblock, cut and re-glassed to clear. I am goign to eliminate the silicone elbow ionto of the IC with aluminum pipe and v-bands so that should gain some clearance. I think with a stock camaro hood you could sneak a 3" oval pipe under the stock hood if you just left the outer skin. I have a stock hood laying around I may try it, I like the stock hood look

It works great! It is super strong so it won't collapse and it holds up to the heat. It was a little pricey though...it was $100 to do mine.
