Can I use NOS big shot solenoids in place of cheater solenoids?

I have a cheater kit on my car, I bought a big shot kit cheapish to get an extra bottle. The big shot solenoids are a lot newer than my cheater ones and as I am about to install a progressive controller I would like to use the newer big shot solenoids. Any comments as to whether this would be OK?

In the same vein can I use the big shot plate instead of the cheater plate if I use my smaller jets?

Thanks for any insights.

noids will swap out no problem. the cheater plate will work better for smaller shots, big shot plate will work better for larger shots. recommended jetting will be further off when mix 'n matching solenoids also so be careful on your initial tune.

Yeah, that was my thinking too. I don't plan more than a 200 shot which is the upper of the cheater and the lower of the big shot.

The tunes won't be off enough to cause any concern as long as the proper timing is being pulled.
