turbo where ac unit is ...

i'd like to get rid of the ac unit . i know they make a pulley but is there anyway to get rid of both the air pump an ac unit an still keep the serpentine belt ?

Yes. On my old build thread I threw up pictures showing how I modified the stock serpentine bracket (passenger side) to eliminate both the AC and SP mounting area without weakening the bracket itself (remember, there is tension, and if you remove too much material it will crack, so keep it strong). I then ran a rope around the system to accommodate the reversed water pump while bypassing the AC & SP, and got a new belt for it. Works like a charm...

how are you holding tension on the belt after that ?

Still using the stock tensioner, but a lot of the passenger bracket has been cut, removed and smoothed down to both look factory and to make way for the turbo. My turbo compressor is positioned right where the AC used to reside...
