Got my purge kit installed. One step closer to body and paint.....

 

How do you like that nitrous kit? Also, do you have any track times with your set up?

 

I have no idea....motor was just finished. Car is at the dyno currently. Just added an MSD 6al, ignition and timing controller. I want to be able to retard the timing when I want to use the spray. I would like to see low 11's on spray??? Should have 375-400 rwhp + 150 on spray. Original run on the dyno without a tune and initial timing screwed up (-2) it had 302 rwhp 318 rwtq @ 5000 rpm. Also had a vac leak... Added 9 degrees base and bumping total to 36. Should be done tomorrow or early next week. Probably wont make the track until late summer. Body shop wants 3-4 weeks with it and then the interior has to go in. I need a few days with it to gut the rest of the interior and put in sound dampening. Oh, and I still have no idea what I'm going to do about a CAI. Meeting with a sheet metal fabricator to figure out an air box.

 

Post your numbers when you get it back, i bought the same nos kit.

 

Did you ever get your dyno numbers?

 

Yes and no...... 330hp/348tq but numbers fell rapidly after 5000rpm. Something is not right so we didn't dyno on nitrous. Car is back at the engine builder to see what the deal is. Car should be making power at 6200-6300. Also decided to ditch the 165 and ordered a Holley HP. Hope to have it back on the dyno in a couple of weeks. I'll keep you posted.

Its an aftermarket ECU.
