305 tpi procharger injectors.. help!
hey everyone.. well the title says it all. i need help with what size injectors to run in my 92 ta. just got my engine back from the shop last week. it was rebuilt going back with stock heads and cam. only up grades is a ported intake with a 52mm throttle body and hooker headers. a new 700r4 trans with stock stall is gong in as well. i lucked up and ran across a p1sc procharger for almost nothing. "SCORE!! VERY HAPPY!!" i now need help trying to find out what size injectors to run with my set up? will the 19lb injectors be ok or will i need maybe 24lb? i dont really want to put a fmu on the car plus im not building a race car. just building the car to enjoy on nice weekends with alittle get up and go. plus the company that is reprogramming my computer says they need to know what injector size im going with. any help would be great!

Well. You either need the FMU that comes with that kit. And 24pd injectors. (Most call that the band aid way, but works well for some). Or, you need 35-42Pd's and to tune it properly. A number of ways to do that also. The kit is designed for stock 19lb injectors and the FMU and In line pump booster. I went 24 pd Motorsport blue tops and used the FMU. I also dont have a stock anything. IMO, with stock cam and everything else. either healthy 19's or 24's with the FMU and you should be fine at low boost. But thats the stock kit. And you must use the FMU with it. Thats how its designed. Ignition with a timing retard should also be used to pull back the timing for lbs of boost. There are many variables you can go. But being you rebuilt youre Motor and tranny and kept it all stock down to the cam and stall converter, just do the P1SC kit the way its supposed to be.

thanks genx'motorsport for the relay i was going to just do the kit the way it was supposed to be but.. i started reading and thinking on some older post on here. i have to keep in mind that most people run bigger cams when they use a procharger. so you think the stock 19lb injectors would be ok if i use the fmu? what about 22lb 350 l98 injectors or will that be to much fuel?

IMHO. Do 24's and use the FMU with an AFPR. Get an MSD boost box. That would be a good start.
