Target A/F for N20 Q?

I am at 10.6 today. My PE w/o power adder is 12.5.

Is target for N20 based on HP level or is it same regardless?

My current HP adder is approx 75-100.

Really a touchy subject, some say dont tune by air fuel and some say you can just fine.

I think you can tune air fuel for milder shots under 150, but its still wise to verify with plug reading. Need to make sure things arent getting too hot in there.

That said i tuned mine to mid high 11's air fuel. Would not go leaner, plug strap melted off at nearer 12.0:1. That was an ngk 7 heat range and 32 deg timing on a mid 10 sec car with the 150 shot

The plugs look good. 4 of 8 are a bit on the rich side. I am pulling 4 deg in N20 mode so net of 32. Plugs are Accel "10" range.

Re: Target A/F for N20 Q?

Sounds good, plugs sound pretty cold but as long as they arent fouling they are working fine. Sounds like you got a safer tune to start with for now

My out the box run on 150 jets started 5 deg pulled and was low 10's air fuel. Went 10.92 at 124. Took out fuel jet and slowly added a degree in here n there. Eventually got to 11.7's to 1 and only 2 deg pulled. Sprayed off line and went 10.63 at 127-128

So some good hp in a good tune up with spray

Why do you say too cold? My Edel RPM heads take a Champ 12 heat range w/o N20. All I could find locally was Accel (shorty). The Accel chart referened a Accel 10 for the Champ 10.

Re: Target A/F for N20 Q?

It must be a different scale then. My appologies. Ngk says heat range 4 for stockers and each number larger is colder. So 7's are 3 steps colder. If yours is 2 steps that should be fine
