Turbo shopping for Banks manifolds on 427 SBC
Going to pick up a set Gail Banks iron T4 manifolds this week and would use some help pi king a set of turbos. First off I'd like to find a pair of symmetrical turbos, meaning one counter rotating so that they are a mirror image. Us these turbos need to feed a 427 SBC till about 6500 rpm. The most boost I would probably get into is 15 lbs. Figured I'd ask because I cannot find many turbos that are counter rotating but I may be using the wrong lingo to search.

I dont know if any other than nelson makes reversed or mirrored housings i should say.
But 6500 rpms something in the 67-70 mm twin would work. Depends on heads and cam and compression and fuel. What gas and what power? New billet type wheels seem to flow better than larger cast ones of older tech so high 60's mm should feed it to 1300-1400 hp no problem

I will be running about 8.3:1 compression via diamond pistons. Afr 226 heads.shooting for around a thousand horsepower.I saw a pair of the symmetrical turbos for sale locally. They were Mitsubishi turbos but only about .42. any good center inlet turbos that you guys know of? This is for a street car / show car so I want it to look clean and as symmetrical as possible.

mirrored turbos on banks manifolds would be like 30" spinners on a crown vic. lol
if you've got the cash for those turbos, might as well anny up for the full custom stainless headers and piping, or do some cheaper turbos.
i would get a pair of 62-66ish center inlet turbos, which is about as big as you will find in that configuration. will most likely want some large turbine housings on that 427, too.
