Thoughts and opinions please

The car is a 92 camaro. Engine is 355ci 4bolt main arp studded. Scat steel crank, lunati 4340 5.7 pro mod rods, forged pistons 9.2:1 compression, akerly&childs extreme psi rings. Set at .020 and .022. The cam is comp xfi280 230/236 .576/.570 on a 114 lobe seperation. Heads are dart 200cc iron eagle platinum. Arp studs and cometic gaskets. Stealthram efi 80Lb injectors. 4l80e trans. I have the intercooler and piping. Fuel system is gonna be dual in tank walbro 255's with -8 pressure and -6 return. Bassically im down to finding a set of turbo headers building my hot side. And the big thing... DECIDING ON A TURBO.. Its gonna be in the battery area. Im thinking either the borg warner s475 or s480. Im open to all opinions and options.

Re: Thoughts and opinions please

That has been my biggest concern. I was trying to get some input before i filed them. Those gaps are my bore x .005 and .0055.

Mild boost they be ok if you keep tune spot on. Meth to keep chamber cool. I would go bore x .006 otherwise.

I've run .022-.023 on my first turbo motor build. 4.125 bore. Ran .018 383 on spray it was ok. Now .026-.028 on new setup, 4.125 bore

Most all the top guys on Street Outlaw have gone turbo (Big Chief and Murder Nova) and they have very fast cars. I wish someone offered a rear mount system for our cars. Turbo definately seems to be the way to go.

Re: Thoughts and opinions please

Daves truck is killing them with suspension. He kills them in 60 feet and that is strictly suspension and or weight. Shawns nova actually gained ground on the big end but 1/8 mile is not nearly enough room to catch that truck. That truck is killer. They all don't respect him because that older guy pays for the truck but Dave built it as far as I can tell. My favorite is the 73 camaro. I forget his name but he has his car dialed in. It runs hard and true everytime. His son has a 81 Z28 (I have two of them rat holed) and he is just now getting into the game. Reminds me of when I was a kid street racing every weekend. We had to run street tires though and have legal tags, no slicks allowed and no trailor cars. It had to be driven to the 4 lanes.
