Injector Size?

Looking for some input on what injector size I need to get for my bird. I have 96 LT1 with a Holley stealth ram intake, 22lb injectors, Mallory ignition and headers in to 3" exhaust.

I have purchased a Procharger D1SC for my bird. I have the fuel booster pump but I'm not sure what size injectors I need. I did the injector calculate and came up with 47lb injectors but I'm only guessing at what HP the car has and will have after I have the SC in place. The engine is basically stock as far as internals go. Any help would be appreciated.

Fuel booster pump, as in additional inline fuel pump?
Does it come with fmu or will this be 2-3 bar map tuned?

Re: Injector Size?

You need to know what kind of horsepower you are going to run as well as all of the other information. That's actually one of the most important pieces of info you will need. What kind of fuel?

Re: Injector Size?

With a stock Shortblock and stock heads I would say we are looking at 550whp or less with the manual trans. And race gas.

LT1 w/HSR? Is this an engine that you put together yourself? IMO, stay safe, and keep boost no greater than 10-psi by way of pulley selection, and based on that, you will need about 50# injectors to allow for a little more playing room if need be...

Re: Injector Size?

I'm running a stock fuel pump. I figured I would need more fuel pressure and flow. I already have fuel booster pump left over from NOS kit. I figure I would run it instead of installing a new pump. I was trying to find someone that could burn another chip for my cars old computer and just use it for now. No one choose to me fools with the old computers anymore. I bought the car with the LT1 and HSR intake on it. I have been talking to a Top Dead Center out of Mobile AL.and he recommended I go with a EFI connection kit to run a LS1 computer on the car. For the money I would spend on the EFI kit I probable could get a LS1 motor and computer out of a junk yard for less. They also recommended I install a return fuel line on my car an let the fuel circulate instead of working off voltage to the fuel pump to supply more fuel and pressure. I do have budget and I'm trying to stay in the 2000 dollar range. Since I already have D1SC supercharger, intercooler and piping.
I though I could get it done but now I'm not so sure.

Re: Injector Size?

all you need is a single in tank 255 pump and a megasquirt computer/harness, imo. does your car not have a return line already?

is there any other LT1 stuff you need? got headers already?
