Ok, here is the thing.
My turbocharged GTA's engine finally went down and it did swinging. After 25+ years of service, un openned, 100% stock, it decided to finally let go...It was about god d@mn time!
So now I am in the process of FINALLY start the buildup on the new 388 I've had in an engine stand waiting for the time for current engine to die, and the time came.
But now I find myself in an akward indesision; to spend a fortune and build the new engine with the extremly little time I have or ditch the hole turbo and assemble just a mild block and simply enjoy my ride. I do know one thing; I need something flashy under the hood, so I was thinking ditching the HSR aswell and get me one of these;

Or these:

The question is; has someone had one of those installed? How is the sound they make down the straight? How much HP should I expect from one of these with a mild bottom end and mild heads or ported stock heads?

Please be gentle with your comments, I'm in a delicate state of mind😜 Jajaja

This is my current setup:

I will let everyone reading along know that jajajaja is hahahaha...

Stick with the turbo, you'll be lost without it during every stop light, as well as the highway. What happened to the stock engine? Head gasket, or blown piston/rod...?

Honestly dont know, engine detonated while WOT at the main straight and then oil blow by everywhere. While doing a check up plugs had were oil soaked, but engine was running "fine", but as soon as I started the engine again oil reached the cylinders fast, almost on all if not on all cylinders. My guess is that all the piston rings are gone.
I do not drag race this car, I only Solo1 and road race it.
