Turbocharged 406sbc info request

Good day!

I put together a 406 sbc for my 89 firebird. I think it has all stock bottom exept for deep dish cast pistons.I had the decks shaved , put the 410hp edelbrock top kit on it with 65cc heads to raise the CR who is at about 10 to 11:1 now. The engine was doing ok on the dyno, did 413hp and 449lb ft. I'll post the specs of the heads and cam later today. I would like to get more something around 500hp with it so Im doing research to see what I would need to put a single turbo setup on it. I'm wondering if I have to drop the compression ratio absolutly if im not running a lot of boost and also if I should change the cam, pistons and connecting rods. I know that this post is vague, i'll try and post detailed specs later today. Any related experience is greatly appreciated. Thx in advance.

Re: Turbocharged 406sbc info request

As long as you keep the cylinder pressures lower, you should be ok with a conservative tune.
