Torquestorm instal

I've got an 82 trans am w a built sbc w No AC. The intake is a pro flo xt, so basically a LS style intake. I'm looking into a torque storm centrifugal supercharger. Anyone have any experience w these and hood clearance? Any preference/experience w mounting on driver vs passenger side?

Re: Torquestorm instal

I ran one on a 5.3 LS in my 87. I got a GTO kit which cleared the stock hood on the pass side but had them spec the pulley spacing and hub adapter for the LS truck spacing. bolted right on no probs. This was almost 6 years ago or about that and when they first started. Trying to find a way to adapt it to a 78 vette but the suspension gets in the way. Blower worked great on the street and ran it for a few thousand miles.

Cool, thanks for the reply/info. Would you happen to have any pics of it installed. I'm in the process of coming up w a plan on running the piping.

Re: Torquestorm instal

This was my install thread with pics. It bolts in with no issues if you run the included short pipe back to the throttle body but then you would need to run water meth injection which I do. I prefer intercooler so you just have to pipe your own setup. You would prob get the cold side kit from CX racing for the turbo and run 90% of that kit and just pipe it to the supercharger pretty easily.

Those are awesome, I was gonna run the intercooler and piping the same way. I have an 82 w a stock hood I'm going to try and fit it under the hood.

thanks.
