Fuel Supply Connection - Wet Nitrous Kit
Hello everyone. I am upgrading my nearly 20 year old dry nitrous kit to a wet kit and just have a few questions. I am using a Nitrous Express Proton series EFI kit, replacing Zex dry kit. My questions are about plumbing the fuel supply. I will be removing the core from the test port on the fuel rail and connecting my supply line there. Per the instructions, it just says I can make the connection with the -4an supply line that comes in the kit...but there is no mention of a fuel o-ring or teflon on the threads. There is a post in the tech section on this site about installing a nitrous system that promotes the use of teflon sealer..However, there is no mention of this in the instructions..and I have run my dry kit for many years without leaks without any thread sealer (and of course, the nitrous line pressure is waaaayyy higher than the fuel supply pressure). The o-ring question basically comes from the fact that my fuel pressure test gauge has one..but then again, the end connector is a different type of connector than the one found on the fuel supply hose of the nitrous kit. So, while I am leaning towards no o-ring required and no teflon required (making sure connections are tight, of course)..just looking for any input on here from people who are running wet kits on their TPI and if they used any teflon/o-ring at the rail. Before I hit the road with it...just to be sure, I will likely dead head the pump/increase pressure with engine off just to be sure my connection is not going to leak. Obviously, anything that will eliminate/minimize the risk of fire..I'm all for it! I certainly do not want my Firebird to become a "Fire" bird, lol!! Any input would be appreciated..thanks all!!

Nothing is needed! I would say to check the fuel pressure while spraying if possible and confirm there is not too much of a drop!

Kind of what I was thinking..I believe the actual seal on an AN fitting is on the tapered end on the inside of the fitting..Never hurts to ask though, as there are all sorts of information/opinions/experiences out there. By the book seems to be the way to go. Thank you for your input!!
